This eight night Southern Caribbean route left from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida - one of the best US ports in my experience - so I already had particularly high expectations. This itinerary had a slightly more uncommon itinerary as it had Bonaire in the lineup alongside Aruba and Curacao, rather than Aruba, Curacao, and some other port of call.
Embarkation went exceptionally well, the new digital check-in process made it literally as simple as having a member scan our passport, validate the last four numbers of our SeaPass card account, referencing the security photo we pre-uploaded, and sending us on our merry way to the gangway. I'm hoping to see this again in my future cruise experiences on RCL.
The ship was dated in some visual aspects with regards to the stateroom areas, but I can't speak as to whether this is standard across all of the Voyager-class ships, as the Adventure was my first Voyager-class ship. Some neat features I haven't seen on other vessels (mostly Carnival, my only other RCL experience was on the Brilliance) were the Peek-a-Boo Bridge feature on Deck 11 that allowed you to watch the officers pilot the ship. Public areas were well kept and felt modern; the Imperial Lounge was my preferred hangout spot but during lower traffic hours I spent my time along the Promenade in general.
