I had sailed on the Adventure of the Seas previously and enjoyed the ship and it’s crew, so I booked back to back cruises (Dec. 7 and 15). The ship is still structurally a wonderful vessel, but the crew, service and food leave a lot to be desired.
The my time dining room is set up with too many tables. Cramming diners into the space provides challenges for the diners. I was bumped repeatedly be other diners and the wait staff. There are not enough waiters to make the meal delivery and accuracy efficient. Longer than average waits to order and between courses, cold food and uncollected dirty dishes on the table were the norm for us.
The new mattresses were rock hard and unbearable for our backs. It took nearly the entire first cruise (8-day) for housekeeping to properly address the issue.
Standard inside cabin on deck 8. Other than the mattresses from hell, the cabin is ok. The cabin steward did ok.
