Our friends invited us to join them on this cruise. Cruises are not exactly our style. The cruise ship was well laid out, clean and did not seem to be over crowded.
Our favorite part of the cruise was sitting on the upper deck watching the countryside go by. Since we did most of our traveling at night, the day time cruising was not as frequent as we would have liked.
The crew and in particular the program director did an amazing job of keeping the events and shore excursions on schedule even though there were a couple delays on the river and in the canals. The shore excursions were what we expected, a bus ride and a group tour around the tourist attraction. It was generally crowed and somewhat rushed. There was usually enough time to go out exploring on our own which was really great. If you like beer, this tour is fantastic as there are many smaller breweries to visit.
The cabin was small but not cramped. the was storage under the beds for the suitcases and luggage. American and European power outlets were available. he bed was comfortable. We did not spend a lot of time in the cabin as it was more interesting to be on deck.
Touring Nuremberg and the castle area was nice. The explanations of whyt he castle was built the way it was and the history behind it was interesting.
We took the e-bike shore excursion and had an easy ride several miles into the country along the river. The views weer fantastic.
Very crowded, somewhat rushed.
Walking around the city and parks was good, the views from the top of the castle were outstanding.
