We chose this cruise to celebrate our 50th anniversary and we wanted something out of the ordinary to remember it by. The cruise around the Horn was just what we were looking for. The only complain I had is the sail around the Horn went to smooth--calm seas and no wind was not what I was expecting, but I think most of the passengers were delighted, including my wife. The Eclipse is an amazing ship and the staff was just wonderful. Alejandro was our cruise director and was the best we have ever had. The captain and Alejandro kept us up to dat with all the events happening on the ship.
Ship embarkation at San Antonio went smooth although the terminal is not the most modern. The ramp up to the ship was very steep and several people had trouble climbing it.
We were booked Aqua Class for the first time and enjoyed the amenities very much. Our cabin was on deck 11 and was very nice, but also exactly like normal veranda cabins. We ate in Blu and enjoyed it immensely. Wait staff was awesome and food was very good.
Cabin was adequate for our needs with queen bed and couch. Bed was high enough to store our luggage underneath. As always, too few electrical plugs to service all our devices. Shower had large shower head plus shower vents for waist and below area.
