Truly enjoyed the inaugural 7- day cruise of the Carnival Panorama. We are avid cruisers (71 cruises and counting) and have not been on Carnival in many years. Our expectations were not the greatest, although we thought it would be great to try out this new vessel. We were extremely surprised on so many levels, which I will get into later in this review.

It’s wonderful that Carnival has placed a brand-new, State of the Art, vessel into Long Beach. For many years, the west coast has not seen any new vessels. It’s very nice that Carnival Corp. has made the decision to invest in this coast. We were very happy when Royal Princess came to this coast and are now very pleased with the Panorama being here.

Long Beach is a very nice pre-cruise stay. There are so many wonderful choices of hotels here, due to its convention city status. We enjoy staying at the Hyatt Regency, but there are, again, so many hotels to choose from. Also, the city has many wonderful restaurants, sights and entertainment venues all within blocks of these hotels.
