Due to the fact that it was a two week cruise down to my preferred destination, southern Caribbean, and that it left from New York (bused to Manhattan from Montreal/flew back from Miami) which meant I would sail by the statue of Liberty, as well as it was totted to be an interesting ship and my introduction to MSC line. Could not resist. Ship was good sized, slightly unique (French builder), easy to get around. Good food, very good entertainment. The itinerary enabled us to visit some favourites like Grenada, Curacao, Aruba, Barbados as well as be introduced to Martinique (liked).

Disliked the classing (being pushed more and more by cruise lines) of people by category purchased. You don't get to eat in the same dinning room as Fantastica category guests or have a decent hour to dine. We were given 5:15! Pay more get treated better is back!!

In general we have noticed this trend throughout the cruise lines and its becoming a turn-off!

Cabin Review

Bella Inside Stateroom

Found it more spacious than most. A touch less closet space. Spacious design for bathroom. Sometimes pipe back up odour would come up through the shower drains. Front of ship but no problems here.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Been there numerous times. Just walked off the ship to the beach (nice) and then the back street of town and back to ship.
