I picked this cruise for the brilliant itinerary - the ports were the best part of the trip. There is absolutely NO Wow factor to this ancient ship.Embarkation went smoothly(mainly because I,d done it on line before leaving home),the welcome aboard was non-existent.Cabins not ready so battled to find our way around,no staff to point us in the right direction. All decor & public areas are very drab & tired,no central atrium to give the ship a heart.Lots of wasted public rooms with little interest. The main ‘self-service’ restaurant is awful - queues caused by having to be served food instead of buffet self-serve.Menu very repetitive over 2 weeks & the quality of food is the worst we,ve ever had on a cruise- more staff canteen. The formal dining-room was ok,but ‘anytime’ dining often meant a long wait unless you,d booked in advance.

Our balcony cabin was adequate, again no wow.

Port excursions were very expensive & did not visit the places which were advertised,no explanation or refunds given.
