There were a couple of minor niggles, but overall this was a fantastic cruise on a lovely ship full of character.

Embarkation was very smooth, and there were drinks and snacks available at the Port too as we waited to get onboard. There was a slight wait for our cabin to be ready once we were on the ship, but this meant we had the chance to sample the drinks menu!

We dined every night in the main dining room (we were allocated TIdes - Deck 5). The food was probably the best we’ve had on a cruise ship, and the portion sizes were very generous! The Apple Pie was to die for! There was always plenty of choice on the menu, with some classic dishes always there for fussier eaters.

Cabin Review

We originally booked an Inside cabin, but managed to bag a Balcony cabin through the RoyalUp upgrade process, this consisted of bidding an amount for a cabin you may wish to be upgraded to, and we found a few days before our sailing date that our bid had been accepted.

The cabin was always kept immaculately clean, and any request we had, the steward dealt with promptly. The bed was also one of the most comfortable that we have had on a ship.
