Let me start this review by saying my girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip, this was our second cruise on Norwegian and we loved the Bliss so much more than the Gem however, I will address issues that occurred on this trip and things that Norwegian as a company should do better.

Embarkation was pretty quick which was nice, once we got on the ship we headed to the garden cafe, plenty of food options and a much bigger selection than the Gem’s buffet. I was happy to see that Norwegian Bliss had a deck dedicated to extra seating since getting a seat at garden cafe during peak eating times was nearly impossible. A quick trip one deck below had plenty of seats where we could take our plates and eat by the window.

During the muster drill the captain informed us that due to inclement weather we would be skipping our first port (San Juan) and instead we would have another day at sea. My girlfriend and I were not happy about this, as well as many other passengers. Obviously the weather is out of anyone’s control but I feel like the decision was rushed. Our second port (St Thomas) was so close to our first scheduled port that the ship was barely moving to eat up the extra time, I think we could have made it to San Juan. Norwegian issued everyone $16 of onboard credit for the inconvenience ..... really? That’s all? Anyway moving on...

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin was great! Plenty of room for two people. The only issue I had was the battery in the electronic safe was low but security came to change it within 15 minutes after I called.
