This seemed like the best value for the money, with a new, fast ship and luxury cabin accommodations. Everything else in the same category was at least 1-2k more expensive. So I was worried this was going to be bad, but truly loved the experience. The staff was top notch, every single member of the crew and guides so friendly and dedicated to making the ship feel like home. The food was a bit of a disappointment though - which many other passengers echoed. There was supposed to be an emphasis on health and wellness onboard, with juices and smoothies available regularly... honestly, I did not see it. There was juice at breakfast, and fresh fruit for dessert if chosen. But the onboard snacks all day were cookies (almost always chocolate cookies, also- which a lot of people are allergic to!) and the dinner each night featured cream based sauce in every single option. Now, you CAN choose to go a la carte and order a plain chicken or salmon piece instead of what the chef serves, but you don't want the same thing every single night. you want a chef who offers at least ONE option per evening that's actually healthy. I met a lot of travelers who were dairy intolerant and very upset by this. I didn't personally care as much- but it bears mentioning.

Other than that though, really no complaints. The excursions were wonderful, albeit felt a little short. I thought we would be on land longer each time, but then again, it is NOT warm there, so there's that.

Overall, I have to say this trip was incredible though. Again the staff really made a huge difference - I felt every person there genuinely was invested in making it a great trip for all travelers. Food aside - I was very impressed!

Cabin Review

Cabin was well appointed with a beautiful ocean view... but had two small twin beds rather than the double featured online. As a single it would be ok if not optimal- but was a bit awkward for either a roommate share situation or couple, as the beds were also pushed together although did not function as 1.
