Sail Date: Nov 2019
Cabin: Vista Suite

We cruise a fair bit and usually cruise for itinerary, so have cruised over ten differing lines, however we booked this cruise (2nd cruise on Carnival and the Spirit) due to the fantastic price for a suite and wanting a getaway.

The ship is the usual décor for a carnival ship, which is loud. Unfortunately there was loudness in volume everywhere as well. The ceiling seemed low, and floors had hard surfaces so the sound reverberates in most areas. The volume of shows, activity staff and announcements are way too high.

The cabin was great, we had a Vista suite which had a lounge area, double sink and spa bath lots of storage space and a great aft view. One thing though is that there appears to be no noticeable perks for having a suite (unlike numerous other lines).

Cabin Review

Vista Suite

Wonderful cabin, a great location with a fantastic bathroom.

Port Reviews

Sydney (Australia)

The OPT is a great place to start a cruise.

Noumea

We have been numerous times, so walked around the CBD and checked the markets and shops the locals would shiop at and also picked up some savoury snacks.

Isle of Pines (New Caledonia)

A very easy tender ride hardly any wait. The beach was wonderful altough the water seemed cooler than expected. A great day in the water.

Lifou

The tender was great again, another day of swimming. We had a coconut from the markets.

Mystery Island

The tender was easy again, another day of swimming and relaxing.

Port Vila

We did private tour with Vlia Hope Port Vila, we went to a cultural village, the Raru waterfalls, the Blue Lagoon where a nice lunch was provided and the to the Duty free shopping place in Vila before returning. A great day.
