Like a lot of NZ cruises recently we missed out on Milford Sound based on a flimsy weather excuse. There was good weather and seas all around NZ for the entire cruise. I feel like featuring Milford Sound on the cover of the brochures and then cancelling it on half the cruises is false advertising by Princess.

Good embarkation. Our teenagers enjoyed the adventure club and activities and spent a lot of time there. They gave the thumbs up to the staff and activities there. Enjoyed the food throughout. Dining room breakfast was poor, rarely used it for lunch as service was slow, enjoyed it at dinner time and staff were very friendly. Horizon Buffet was good for breakfast and lunch. Didn't bother with specialty restuarants as dining room dinners were good. I liked half of the entertainment as good quality singing and dancing but found half to be too old fashioned. You couldn't fault the cruise director and assistants for their level of energy and good humour.

The Bad: This is not a good ship for someone in a wheelchair as there are few wheelchair accessible rooms and most of the hallways are clogged up with cleaning carts all the time. Even when cabin stewards are on a break. The wheelchair disembarkation turned into a farce as we were told to wait 15 minutes for wheelchair shuttle bus and when it arrived we were told it couldn't fit a wheelchair and we had to push it off station pier. No staff seemed to have any clue how to get someone in a wheelchair into a car on the pier.

Cabin Review

Oceanview (obstructed view)

Liked having a walk in robe and cabin was big enough for two with two chairs.
