Food, wine, scenery excellent. We got to know the crew and other passengers due to the small number of people involved. It was great only having to unpack once and staying in the same room every night. We were surprised at the variety of different people on board. Even though it was March, the weather was good and the spring season was far ahead of where it was in Minnesota, with leaves on the trees and flowers blooming everywhere. We should have taken some of the optional onshore excursions, but didn't. We chose the optional wine package, which was the right idea. We particularly enjoyed drinking the wines from many areas and the food which was prepared to match the areas we were travelling through. The various onshore activities were also excellent, with several medieval cathedrals and castles included. Marksburg castle and Heidelberg University were particular favorites of ours during the cruise.
