I would like to state that for the most part, the staff on the ship was very professional and very courteous. It only takes a couple to make the trip a negative experience and below is my review.
We recently sailed on the MSC Seaside over Christmas. We had very high expectations when we booked the yacht club as our friends, who were also on the cruise, recommended it to us. I will not complain about the priority boarding and the way the staff treated us the first day. The Yacht club lounge was amazing. They provided us with drinks, finger food, and even had some Christmas carolers coming in and out to spread some joy.
The first night in the yacht club dinning room the ships Sommelier introduced himself and his assistant. While he was speaking to us the ladies booked a wine tasting during the week and the other families booked a dinner at their fine dining steakhouse the Butchers Cut. We were very clear at the table not to include us in the reservation with the other families. We informed them that we already booked and paid online ahead of time for the chefs table experience at the Butchers Cut restaurant for Christmas eve. Please note that the chefs table experience is an extra cost and not the normal dining experience. I also want to add that while boarding the ship the first day, we verified our reservation at a table they had set up in the lounge and everything was set for Christmas eve and they confirmed our seats/table.
Our cabin was very nice with plenty of room. The shower was huge for a cruise ship and we loved the rain shower head they used. The room attendant always kept the room clean and stocked, she was amazing. There were some small things in the room we noticed like missing moulding, stains on the carpet, and carpet coming up.
This is something everyone should do at least once, what an amazing experience.
The island is still very new but its turning out to be very beautiful. We really enjoyed the day we spent here.
