This was our 12th ocean cruise (Seabourn, Cunard, Celebrity, HAL, RC) and first on Princess. Our expectations for such a large ship during the New Years week were not real high and I am pleased to say Princess exceeded them by day 3.

The ship sparkles and everything works (except the Ocean Ready app). Embarkation was remarkably smooth given the passenger overload (3900+ with 600 kids). We quickly found our way around. The only snag was late delivery of one bag, but it made it before the first seating.

Nice cabin (Caribe deck balcony, C521) on the small side as expected. Good storage, some bedding blocking under bed storage but 2 large bags did fit. Bathroom spotless and smallish. Cabin steward rarely seen, but she did an excellent job.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Expected a small room and bath, expectation met. Comfortable bed, good storage, clean, excellent condition, above average room steward. On premium ships you generally get what you pay for and we were content for the fare.

Port Reviews

Mazatlan

Saw the highlights. Very good guide.

Puerto Vallarta

So so guide. Tequila factory was excellent.
