We chose HA because the reviews & travel agents said they catered to older travelers. Thought it would be a perfect way to bring in the New Year, some good music, dancing and space to enjoy. Well the only thing good was the music, it was excellent. Guessing because it was a New Year’s cruise there were lots of families & extended families on board. Also, HA must have had some good rates as the boat was packed. New Year’s Eve was like a “mosh pit” on deck. No place to sit and enjoy the music and definitely no place to dance, well unless you got a drink and jumped around. The only other music entertainment for NYE was the dueling pianos, It was packed as well. 2nd seating diners had no chance for a place to enjoy. Anyway, we spent NYE in a quite bar toasting with our friends & the servers. Because the ship was so crowded every night was pretty much like this. BB King Club had excellent music but area was packed, no seats & no space to dance. Also, for some reason HA decided that would be a good place for private functions so a couple nights half the club was reserved. So for the entire 7 day cruise we were only able to dance 4 times, the day after the mosh pit was fairly quiet. We will now pass on cruising with HA and add them to our list which include Carnival, NCL, Princess ....... time to move up a category. We did pay for the Neptune SB suite so we weren’t trying to cruise cheap, just wanted some space to ......

Cabin Review

Neptune Deluxe Veranda Suite

Nice cabin with large veranda. Noisy when seas were rough. Veranda could have been cleaner & arranged better.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

7 or 8 ships departing, was not easy especially since it was our first time out of this port.

One more note of caution: We only used our credit card twice, once for Eurodam & once for paying $105 for parking. Just got our CC statement and we were hacked. Both charges were out of the Ft Lauderdale area so know it was from the cruise. My guess would be the parking as the whole parking/port experience was a major PAIN.
