I picked Royal Caribbean because it sailed out of Galveston, TX and the family would be on the boat New Years eve. Quite a few families also had the same idea and there were a lot of young people on the boat. The children in our group had a great time.
We had great service and that was the consensus of our all family members .
We dined at the early 5:30 pm seating at a round table for 11 and never did a specialty restaurant. The basic menu food items were very good, and we did not order any extra cost food items.
The ship is pretty old, and you could spot some rust here and there, but the common areas were very well maintained and clean. The staterooms were showing some wear but were clean.
Liquor is very expensive and the servings are not generous, and the and the drink packages were a good buy for a few of our crowd; it was New Years.
