My husband and I had a great time on our first Princess cruise. We will definitely said Princess again.

* Overall - the Regal Princess is a great ship and really hit a sweet spot for us. It is big enough to have lots of dining choices and things to do without feeling too crowded or overwhelming. We are an active couple in our 60's who enjoy food and wine. Regal also hit the sweet spot for us of feeling a little more sophisticated and just a bit quieter (as opposed to Carnival, Norwegian, and Disney which we enjoyed but wanted a more adult experience). Some specifics:

* Food and drink - we thought the food was almost always very good and sometimes excellent. We didn't do the buffet, so can't comment. We did anytime dining, mostly in Symphony. Excellent service and we were happy with our choices at dinner. We loved Alfredo's for lunch - good pizza and antipasti. Food on the pool deck was fine. We loved the sushi at Ocean. Good wine program, did two fun wine tastings. Service at bars was quick and friendly. Loved International Cafe - good coffee, convenient food any time, comfortable setting. Only tweaks we would like to see: breakfast menu in MDR needs refreshing and they need appropriate wine glasses in the MDR. If you care about wine, it will irritate you not to have a decent red wine glass.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony

While adequate, it seemed more cramped than the same class cabin on other lines we have sailed. That said, we loved the location - as far forward as possible (quiet!) and easy access to pool deck, so we would book it again. Also the decor seemed tired - clean but a bit worn. Tiny bathroom, but good closet and storage. The balcony was small but adequate for two people. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Seating area was fine. Large tv screen, wall-mounted. One thing I would say is that you could often feel a good bit of motion since it was high and far forward. This didn't bother us, but if you suffer from motion sickness might not be the best cabin for you.
