Sail Date: Dec 2019

This was a pre Christmas cruise that we extended to Dec 28.Exploring San Francisco before and after the cruise was an added bonus. We had the amazing itineraries of Hawaiian ports and then Mexican ports back to back. The ship was so beautifully decorated for the season, embarkation and disembarkation so easy, the cabin larger than the standard. The servers were enthusiastic and gracious. The food was excellent -the steaks on the Crown Grill done to perfection. The main dining room had offerings from Curtis Stone and the Vista was a reliable and tasteful place to dine. The afternoon tea in the dining room was delightful and an elegant experience. Sabatinis the Italian Restaurant even had the best desserts.Vines had Opus One bottles of which we bought 2 as gifts. Faouzzi, the pizza chef at Alfredo's pizzeria even created his favourite pizzas for us on request. The One 5 disco had a great DJ.Many fun activities on board for everyone-trivia a favourite, hula dancing classes and lei making before reaching Hawaii pleased everyone. There was even a native show when we were docked in Hawaii.

The excursion at Honolulu visiting Pearl Harbor and USS Arizona Memorial and even to explore the submarine USS Bowfin was a once in a lifetime experience.

The music especially the music of piano man Liam Stewart was exceptional. He even had his own 2 performances of Elton John songs in the Vista Lounge which were well attended.

Cabin Review

Balcony

We had 2 different cabins- a great balcony for the first cruise and a large inside for the second cruise.Excellent service by housekeeping staff, and total cleanliness.

Port Reviews

Mazatlan

Wonderful little Mexican port to walk about in.

Puerto Vallarta

Loved the beach life so close to the ship docked.

Honolulu

The cutoff time was 3 p.m. which was a little early but we rushed to see the Pearl Harbor Memorials which were reamrakable.

Kauai

We stayed on the ship as we had been there before and had a peaceful time with great views from the ship.

Maui

A scenic drive by taxi visiting waterfalls was well worth leaving the ship.

Ensenada

It rained so getting off the ship not an attractive option.
