We chose this cruise for two reasons first because it was departing San Diego (our hometown) and second because it was going to Cabo. We choose a 1:00 pm check in and it was so easy. We did not have to wait in any lines, our bags were checked and we were able to go to our cabin and put our carry on luggage away. We were surprised on the size of our cabin, it was a lot bigger than expected and the bathroom was also large with a lot of counter space and little shelves to place our toiletries. There were three closets and and two small dressers a mini fridge and a desk with four small and one large drawer.

Next we explored the ship and put our names in for the raffle at the Spa ( which we were given a tour of by Spa staff ). We joined in the Sail Away party as we departed. This was a high energy party with dancing and a Conga line led by the Cat in the Hat and Thing one and Thing two. There were cruisers of all ages ( we are 55 and 58 ), everyone we having fun.

We had dinner in the dining room a few times which we joined strangers for dinner and made new friends. Then we chose to have the buffet for dinner, and we liked that better because it was faster and we did not want to miss out on any of the fun. We participated in the Lip Sync Battle auditions and the Scavenger Quest Game ( do not miss playing this if you have the chance, it was a riot ) . We did the Luxury Sail and Snorkel excursion. This was amazing we saw so many whales I lost count ( actually jumping out of the water ). The crew was outstanding, we actually sailed. We also spent a lot of time in the casino and earned free drinks and a bottle of wine.

Cabin Review

The cabin was really nice. It was a lot bigger than we expected and had a large bathroom with counter space and shelves. There were three closets, two end table dressers, desk with drawers, mini fridge, small table and two chairs. The linen was crisp and the pillows were soft.
