I had such an incredible experience when I was on the Baltic Sea cruise in July 2019. It was my first experience of a cruise ship, and I decided that I would only travel on Viking.

Unfortunately, the Caribbean cruise was a great disappointment. I chose this particular cruise so I could visit the Chicken Itza Mayan Ruins. Unfortunately, because the ship had "technical difficulties" the ship did not go to Merida. The excursions, for which we signed on, were lacking. The glass bottom boat tour was a waste of time - a visit to the local aquarium would have been much more exciting. The Cave Tubing experience was dreadful - Viking did not provide specifics re the attire needed, nor the danger of wading across the river on slippery rocks with water up to one's waste.

Embarkation was a disaster. In our documents, we were told that we could access our room any time from 11 a.m. on. The reception staff could not answer my questions and we were told just to sit down, and there would be an announcement! With no response by 12:30, I decided to access our room. Obviously, the room had been prepared well ahead of time.

Cabin Review

Excellent... the housekeeping staff were incredible. I loved everything about this suite. I chose it because we had the same suite on the Baltic Sea cruise.
