This was a group cruise in Jan 2020 and was the eastern Caribbean. The ports visited were Saint Maarten, Saint Lucia, San Juan. We missed Grand Turk as the wind was too high to safely enter port.

The food highlight was the visit to the steakhouse (extra $$) but it was worth it. We visited the 2nd nite and was able to take advantage of promotion for free bottle of wine. We also brought wine aboard and were pleased that they didn't charge the corking fee in the dining room. The dining room food I found to be on par with past cruises on Allure of the Seas and Norweigan. There were plenty of lunch food options and the burger joint was quite good but the BBQ pit a disappointment. At dinner, if you missed dining time the buffet was rather sparse and limited.

The ship entertainment focused more on party time. There were fewer shows and lower overall show quality than Royal Caribbean and Norweigan (based on our other cruises).

Cabin Review

Balcony

Overall very good. No negative element. Just down the hall from ironing room (a small bonus)

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

The town was rather run down. Not sure if still recovering from hurricane. Disappointing.

San Juan

A beautiful city. Strongly encourage visiting the fortifications. A highlight on the cruise.
