This is an older boat with an update a few years ago. The staff in general is not up to the quality of service we have seen on the 6 ships we have used in the Carribean. The food in the specialty dinning was good, but the buffet and other restaurants were sub-par. We had a lot of minor problems like the toilet wouldn't flush, the patio door wouldn't open. The stop at the big island they canceled because they were afraid the winds were going to build and the tenders would have trouble getting into shore. (it was calm and beautiful all day). if you are just looking for acceptable transportation between the islands it is a good source. I will say that their comedian (vince something) was outstanding. One of the best shows I have seen on a cruise ship. We used four excursions with NCL and three we booked directly (not through NCL)
. I would say booking direct saves money and if you look at the reviews you can probably find better excursions.
