This cruise was booked to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We first cruised last year and we fell in love with cruising. We sailed out of New Orleans. We are from Louisiana so New Orleans was close. Previously we have sailed out of Galveston which we were not too fond of so we wanted to try something new. Overall I feel like it was a success.

Embarkation was very seamless because we had faster to the fun. I highly recommend faster to the fun! We were arrived at the port at about 1030, And we were on the ship in our room at about 1115. We were told that the glory was a smaller ship but it is still a quite large ship. I believe for our sailing we had a little over 3000 guests with a little over 1000 crew. The lobby area and the our time dining area was congested for most of the cruise but everyone was so friendly we didn’t find it difficult. We spent the majority of our time in the casino which is part of our vacation fun. The casino staff were amazing, the dealers were the best that I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with. The waiters in the casino area could be very attentive or they could also be very invisible, it was hit or miss most of the cruise. Our cruise was a premier cruise,As was the last cruise that we took. But we did not find at the casino was overly crowded.

The dining room food was very good for most of the nights. Breakfast or Sea day brunch was hit or miss. We had one waiter that we requested for two or three nights and he and his team were absolutely amazing. The buffet food was above average which was better than what our experience was on the Vista. We also ate at guys burger and obviously that was wonderful. We also dined in the steakhouse on the first evening. We did receive our complimentary bottle of wine which was lovely and we also received a special dessert because we were celebrating our anniversary. Those were the highlights of the dinner. It took Approximately three hours from beginning to the end of the meal with lots of time in between courses. Everything was moving so slow in the dinner service area for the steakhouse. The servers were nice but overworked and probably stressed out. They had a small bar that we sat at waiting for our table and the bartender there was nice but seemed frazzled. She also had negative views on the United States that she was freely sharing with us even though knowing that we were from the United States. It wasn’t the most pleasant conversation. On the third or fourth night we visited the alchemy bar. And we recognized the bartender from our previous cruise on the Vista. We received very good drinks and wonderful service. I would highly recommend the alchemy bar.
