For me the expression by Jupiter is both classical and modern, and it seems a fitting way to describe the cruise itself. I got to see places I’d never been to before and the opportunity to experience those places with a very special friend. This was my second cruise with Viking and my first ocean cruise. Almost a year later I still have very fond memories of the ship, the excursions, the food on board, the crew, and some of the passengers we got to spend time with. I mentioned earlier that I got to see places I’d never been to before. Our departure city, Rome, was an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed all of the common tourist attractions and the not so common ones - like walking around to find a post office. The food, of course, was very special, though we only had two nights to dine out. I would love to go back and find even more places to explore. On board the Jupiter, I especially enjoyed the Planetarium and the discussion offered. There were other activities too and even just sitting and listening to the trio of musicians playing was relaxing and so worthwhile. Every crew member greeted us as we walked by, ever ready to be helpful. Every shore excursion was interesting and fun, from Pisa to Monte Carlo. It was always reassuring to know that we would be ready for the next day thanks to the comfort of our cabin. I would love to do it again. By Jupiter, it was a great cruise.
