We chose Viking at the last minute and it was the best thing we could have done; free air fare and from a smaller airport, great pricing and that was just the start. The onboard staff is incredible, you don’t know they’re there unless you need them and then they can’t do enough to make sure your every need is taken care of. Food and onboard entertainment was 1st cabin, always trying to match meals to the local cuisine. My favorite part of the trip was the number and variety of both included and optional sightseeing tours as well as the onboard cultural information sessions. All the land tours were small groups with very knowledgeable guides. Finally, Viking went out of their way to accommodate us on our return air travel as we extended our trip 5 days in Paris. Embarking and disembarking we’re flawless with Viking staff doing all the heavy lifting as well as clean, efficient ground transportation. Trite but true, Viking is the best.
