The trip details were quite interesting. Everything we experienced was excellent. Highly recommend this cruise and cruise line.The included excursions plus the optional excursions were truly worth the money.The weather although odd for that time period was exceptional with no rain, only lots of sunshine and extremely high temperatures. The crew was fabulous and couldn't be more accommodating, especially the cruise director and the wait staff. Meals were delicious and fulfilling. We had taken cruises on larger ships and thought we would miss the evening entertainment, but we were satisfied with the evening activities that went on with this ship (the games, piano music, classical musicians, glass blower, etc. The fact that the head chef spoke about the dinner before each meal each evening was quite informative. The choice of beverages with each lunch and dinner was great. The ship was very clean and well taken care of. If one has never taken a Viking River cruise before they don't know what they are missing. My wife and I have now become an avid river cruise fan and will surely be repeat travelers with Viking.
