The cruise hit the locations I wanted to visit. Super itinerary, excellent food and service. The alternative gourmet selections, especially the Chefs Table, were excellent. Shipboard internet access was reliable. Great lectures, especially historic perspectives, scientific topics and educational lectures. The crew was reliable and friendly, and most helpful in assisting with excursions, dining reservations, etc. The captain’s frequent updates on the ship’s location, weather, etc. was very welcome. Our Stateroom steward was very attentive and helpful, and he kept our stateroom clean and comfortable, and would often provide useful advice. The physical fitness facilities were first class (and used often). Spa facilities were excellent. Disembarking and security procedures at ports of call were handled professionally and smoothly. The shore excursions, both inclusive and optional, were well designed for maximum effect. I would also like to commend the very effective way Viking handled pre and post cruise accommodations, air travel and administrative issues. I will definitely choose Viking ocean cruises in the future.
