We've been on a Viking River cruise before but this was our first time on an Viking Ocean cruise.

We mainly chose this trip because we're familiar with the outstanding service and hospitality of Viking Cruises and to see two sites on our bucket list: ruins in Athens and Jerusalem, and the rest of the sites looked pretty good.

It was the first voyage of the Jupiter ship that we were on, so everything was brand new! The ship is beautiful, easy to go from point A to point B. The cleanliness is incredible. Liked very much the digital tables to play with, loved the planetarium. I specially enjoy the lectures every night about the culture and history of the places your're visiting. The dining choices are terrific, light fare at bars, buffets next to the pool, fine dining on the main dining room, etc.

Port Reviews

Crete (Heraklion)

Visited Museum and City, had a good time on our own shopping. City is quaint and museum is very interesting. The guide should've kept shorter her talks in museum, though

Jerusalem (Ashdod)

Gorgeous scenic drive, walk thru beautiful organic vegetable and herb gardens and got to try some wine!

Mykonos

They take you on a smaller boat to the island. Wonderful ruins. Just took half a day and gave us time to go back to explore Mykonos
