We left two older children at home and found as early 50 yo’s, we were some of the youngest passengers. No children onboard that I saw. We found most guests were from northern US or Canada, escaping the cold weather. We ate breakfast in our room choosing from a limited menu. Our wake up “call” was coffee and omelets. Sometimes we opted to sit family style in the dining room so we met other guests, sometimes just a table for two. We are at all of the restaurants for additional fees - but well worth it. We abandoned our typical scuba, snorkeling, sailing, type excursions and instead took cooking classes and roamed rum distilleries. The service/staff was excellent across all departments. Servers remembered our names surprising us sometimes. The room always looked and smelled clean. Afternoon tea at 3 was always a nice treat with lovely sandwiches and perfect pastries.
We were on 4th deck with a glass balcony. The captain backed into ports so we had great views all day in port and when leaving every port. Perfect room!
We were tired and considered skipping their island but are glad we didn’t. We dressed and tendered on a large comfortable boat over gorgeous water. There were bricked patios and sidewalks. A nice sized t-shirt shop is near tender dock. Locals sell some handmade baskets but they only accept cash. My husband paid for the Lobster Fest and said it was amazing. I got a burger at the buffet and it was good. We sat at one of the open air bars and drank pina coladas until it was time to go.
