We wanted to go to Panama. Looking at the itineraries, we chose the Eurodam. I was reluctant about Holland America because I do get motion sickness so I was concerned about HAL’s smaller ships, as compared to others we have been on. I only had a problem one day, when the weather was extremely bad. Also, they have a reputation for older clientele. It’s true, but not bad at all. I’d say mostly active older adults. I wished they had more exercise classes at better times, but it was a great experience.
The Lincoln Center piano quintet was our favorite. They were very popular. It was like going to a professional concert every night. This will be a big priority on our next Holland America ship. Amazing performers and performances. If not for them, I would have rated the entertainment a 2.
Meals were better than our other cruises. They had the Navigator app, but it was disappointing as far as the information about events.
We loved the balcony and the larger bathrooms than what we had on Princess and Royal Caribbean. The bed was very comfortable, which was important. We were on deck 4.
Beautiful area to walk around.
We didn’t enjoy walking around this town. We found out later the aloe factory tour was nice.
Beautiful, clean area. Fun to walk on the pontoon bridge to town. We took a taxi on our own to the sea aquarium, which was probably the best kept secret. Great experience.
Took a taxi tour around to the old city and the fort. Didn’t stay long, just a quick walk. It was very hot and the drive was very busy. Lovely area right at the port terminal with wildlife and shopping.
Loved seeing the locks, but this port was terrible. Can’t venture too far and the shopping off the port was awful.
