We picked this cruise because we had never been on RCCL. It turned out pretty good.. Mostly seniors over 50. Hardly any kids on board. Music and games were mostly for people growing up in the 50's and 60's.
Cabin was small, but all we did was sleep there. Cabin steward was excellent. Asked to change beds to 2 singles and done promptly.
Food in main dining room was OK....we have had better on Princess and Norwegian. Biggest disappointment was the New York Strip. Never seen a steak that was 1/4 inch thick. How can you cook it the way a person wants it when it was basically a strip of jerky. Excellent waiter and assistant waiter.
The buffet was barely OK.....pretty much all of it was barely warm. Some even cold. Scrambled eggs were instant.....so watery. The only way to eat them was as a freshly made omelet. They really need burners under hot food. Or you better be standing there when they bring it out from the kitchen.
Excursions were fine. We took the one to Chichen Itza Long bus ride but worth it. They provided a brown bag lunch and a cold bottle of water or coke at the end. Temps in the 90's so really needed it.
Entertainment was good. The guys from Argentina were awesome. Loved the Elton John impersonator.
No problem getting on or off. Or through customs. All in all it was good even with the so-so food. Already booked the Vision Of the Seas..... sister ship of the Rhapsody next Jan.
Chicken Itza.....Good excursion. Long bus ride but worth it.View All 425 Mayan Ruins Reviews
