We had been thinking about a Caribbean cruise for some time and the timing, ship, and itinerary were just what we wanted. The ship was perfect; smaller and more intimate than our previous cruise ships with well thought out lounge areas and bars for pre and post dinner relaxation. Excellent food and service in the restaurants and plenty of sun-beds both on the decks and around the pools with bar staff bringing around iced water, just what we needed!
The catamaran cruises were expensive but worth the money, however, the two beach trips (Barbados and Tortola) were not what we would expect and let the ship down. The Barbados beach trip in particular was around $70 each to spend around 2 hours rammed together where access to the 'beach club' for the whole day was around $20; someone made a lot of money out of that trip!
In the World cafe at breakfast, the cafe seems to be geared towards American tourists, who are the majority, but it would be nice to be offered tea at the tables, as well as coffee; we usually had to get our own. Also, the hot water for the tea in the jugs needs to be refreshed frequently as the water needs to be nearly boiling to make tea properly.
Excellent, well thought out cabin with that little extra room. The illuminated mirror in the dressing table is indicative of the thought that has gone into the layout of both the cabin, and the ship as a whole.
fantastic views from the top of the island
Enjoyed the trip around the island but are there no better places to stop than a shopping mall!
