Had booked this cruise as a surprise for my husband's 60th birthday although he had to wait about 18 months till he recieved it, it was well worth the wait. We really looked forward to visiting the Falklands and the Chilean Fijords. Travel arrangements were fine, we had a long time to wait for our connecting flight but that was our choice as the original time given was less than an hour turnaround and thought that would cause us stress.

Upon arrival in Buenos Aries we were transported to a hotel in a nice part of the city where we were provided with breakfast before transferring to the ship. We could not get to our room for a couple of hours so we relaxed on deck with a light lunch and a drink. We wish we had sunscreen in our hand luggage as the sun was extremely strong.

Our cabin (Deluxe veranda) was excellent as usual, we had binoculars, fresh water, coffee machine and a fridge which was stocked with soft drinks, nuts and minisize toblerone each day. Hairdryer and toiletries provided. There was plenty of space for clothing and cases just slotted under the bed. Good movie choice and 24 hour room service available. Our cabin staff were 2 lovely guys, Christopher and "Mr".
