This was our first Princess cruise and having sailed on Celebrity many times it was a lovely surprise. The ship is only a few years old and well looked after, everything sparkled. We loved the fact that everything onboard was in AUD$ and reasonably priced, e.g. the coffee card ($36 for 15 speciality coffees), the drinks, the shops. Princess entertainment is first class, the Production shows are a visual delight and the guest entertainers were good. Our favourite was The Voice of the Ocean, such a professional show. Our Cruise Director was a fun guy who made our trip and there was always something happening, activities all day/night long so no time to be bored. The weather was glorious with only a couple of rain showers so no ports were spolit. We had never been to Fiji and the 4 ports of call gave us a good look. The Buffet restaurant was OK although not our favourite place to eat as it was always packed with people rushing around bumping into you. The Symphony dining room was our favourite with every meal of high quality and always hot. Alfredos Pizza makes a nice change for lunch or dinner and its no extra charge.

We will definitely sail with Princess again, excellent service, wide variety of things to do and great food.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin was very small with the smallest bathroom at sea and a balcony only wide enough to fit 2 chairs, no spare room to stretch out your legs. This didn't impact on our cruise as we only used the cabin to get ready and sleep. We missed a sofa however Princess charge more for cabins with sofas whereas Royal Caribbean & Celebrity have sofas in their standard cabins and the bathrooms are much bigger. When you sit on the toilet your knees touch the bathroom door, very claustrophobic.

Port Reviews

Lautoka

Tender boat across to the small village inhabited by a native tribe who were all vury friendly with lovely handicrafts for sale.
