A small ship, 500 passengers, no children, Sea of Cortez, what could go wrong? The passengers were older. A guess of the average age was approximately 75.

The attitude of the ship management. The restaurant staff, bar staff and entertainment was excellent. The cruise director and assistant were part of the show staff. The pianist was excellent. Liz, a classically trained singer has an amazing voice. There was as sign on the passenger assistance desk “the ship is is completely full, there are no up grades available”. However, several staff members told us there was only about 300 passengers on board. We were contacted three times that we didn’t have a credit card on file. Each time we talked with them they said it was on file. Our cabin was four doors down from a sixth floor fan tail outdoor sitting area. A delightful area with 180 degree view and a little bar, that was only open the last day of the cruise. Every day when I ask the head service manage when it would open, I was told tomorrow. When I informed the bar the 3 floors below that people were sitting there were sitting there the waiters would climb the stairs about every 1/2 hour. The food was was excellent but on two occasions out of about thirty three meals we received atrocious service. One lunch we missed an event due late service. The other was a dinner that we were literally forgotten by the waiter. Four of the six people were served. A entre from one couple and myself were not served. We were seated 7pm and when after about 15 minutes after the others were eating we asked about our meals. I spoke with the head waiter. About 9:15pm were finally served entres. There are 2 banks of 2 elevators aft and aft and amid ship. There is on elevator forward. THE ELEVATORS QUIT WORKING DAY TWO AND DID NOT WORK THE REST OF THE CRUISE. That’s tough on elderly people. With the exception of the two meals, attitude of the management and the elevators is was. Great cruise. The passengers on board were delightful, the entertainment and wait staff superb.

Cabin Review

Bathrooms larger than most cruise ships.

Port Reviews

Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco)

We were on a schedule commercial bus to Rocky Point from Phoenix, about 50 passenger. There was a single line that took about 45 minutes to check in.
