Poorly designed ship; avoid if you like pools and sun.

Sail Date: Feb 2020
Cabin: Mid-ship Mini-Suite with Balcony
Traveled with children

We are seasoned cruisers and have been on NCL, Royal, Celebrity and Holland, and I can easily say that this was our least favorite ship. If you are traveling with children, take one of the Royal giant ships of Symphony, Allure, Harmony or Oasis. We've been on Symphony and Allure and the Encore isn't even in the same league. Those ships are amazing and Encore seemed like the designer looked at all the goods things about those ships and decided to do the opposite. Encore seems like it was designed for cold weather itineraries, as the pool deck area is laughably small for a 4,000 passenger ship. NCL needs to dismantle the race track and laser tag and build another pool on this ship.

The good:

- Service was very good for the most part. General attitude of staff is more pleasant than we have found on other lines.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin was nicely appointed. Bathroom is large. Overall for a balcony room let alone one called a "mini-suite" this is a very, very small room.
