This is my family’s 3rd cruise with RC. We have done Oasis, Anthem and now Symphony. First THE GOOD. as usual, the dining room staff are terrific in the MDR as well as the Wydjammer. My wife has Celiac and they have treated her with so much kindness and consideration to make sure she has adequate food choices. Our waiter Marlon at table 301, allows her to pick her meals the night before so they can be specially made. The head waiter also helps out a lot during dinner and breakfast. In general the food Has been good , but maybe not “as good” as in the past. I didn’t get the Alcohol Package so I don’t drink As much so bartenders don’t seem as friendly this time around . But maybe it’s just because l’m not as drunk ? IDK
But my BIGGEST COMPLAINT is there is wayyyy to Much dead time doing nothing. On other cruises there was ALWAYS ALWAYS something fun going on. On this cruise , with the exception of the big shows (Hairspray , hiro , 1977 Etc the choice are few , repetitive and boring. It’s pretty much trivia, karaoke, Latin fiesta 500 times a day, the same band playing in different spots, dance lessons and bingo. And mostly everything seems to be right around dinner time or start super late. So you have this lull of time from like 2-530 and then from Like 630-10. Other cruises there was ALWAYS somethings. They had a Journey cover band. They had a magician. They had this awesome singer who could imitate any genre of music. And this was in addition to Spectras cabaret, and the main show and just multiple games shows And a VARIETY of bands. Not the same band every night in a different spot and or “Latin fiesta” we’ve been bored every day
We have a spacious balcony room
With queen size bed, two bunk beds , plus a pull out couch if needed. (Only 4 of us)
