We wanted a short cruise on a smaller ship to celebrate our 50th anniversary of meeting (not wedding), which happened on Valentine's Day, 1970. The Sun appeared to fit the bill, being much smaller than our previous ship, Harmony of the Seas. We were pleased with some things, while others were just -- meh. A breakdown is as follows:

Embarkation: A- The Sun was the only ship at Port Canaveral on Feb. 12, Wed. so parking, shuttles, etc., were a piece of cake. They apologized for taking a little longer to process paperwork due to the virus and scrutinized thoroughly our passports.

Cabin: C We had an ocean view (deck 7) with a larger window. However, it was smaller than expected and the bathroom was tiny with a very friendly shower curtain. Space was adequate for our belongings for 5 days, but the sofa was hard and "cardboardish". TV was fine, but no network channels, 2 or 3 movie channels, and 3 news channels. The window was behind the bed, which provided lots of light, but to see out, you had to climb on the bed. Throughout the cruise, the room was cold and we weren't able to ease up on the AC. Living in FL, we prefer it to be a little warmer, but this didn't happen. Outside noise was minimal.
