I actually was gifted the cruise. It was great to have a few days sailing to find out and deal with seasickness. After that the cruise was great. The captain was very helpful with announcements when and if needed. We missed the Fiordlands and Akaroa due to the weather. It was great to see that they were looking after the safety of their passengers. When returning from shore excursions the captain would welcome everyone back home which gave it a homely touch.
When in Napier we did the Arch of the Ancestors - great experience as we not only learnt about the Maori culture, but we actually got immersed by getting to interact with the experience. Wellington we did our own thing which was nice as we got to take our time and not be rushed through what we were doing.
Staff in the restaurants once they knew my special dietary needs they ensured I was taken care of. We were treated exceptionally well by everyone and nothing was too much trouble.
The cabin was fine as it literally was not our main focus as it was where we only spent time sleeping.
Got to experience the boat in a relaxing way and well as have a go at putting the sails up and steering the yacht.
