We take cruises quite often, but this was a really disappointing trip. From just getting to the cruise ship we were sent to the wrong terminal as MSC didn't update the terminal on our tickets. We had to walk three terminals over with all of our luggage, then proceeded to wait in an hour long line just to go through one metal detector. Boarding the ship you are hearded with a huge crowd onto the actual ship.

Our room was great. We had a balcony room and there was plenty of space in the cabin for two people. Until we went to bed. There was a loud banging noise that went on for about 90% of our trip. Made it impossible to sleep at night, no matter how many times customer service was called to help. The captain also speeds up super quickly at night, rocking the boat pretty aggressively.

On top of a huge lack of sleep, MSC Divina has a horrible problem with distributing crowds efficiently. The buffet was the worst part of the ship as There is absolutely not enough seating, and people are hoarding everywhere. We were spending all of the trip finding better times to go since it was so chaotic just trying to get food. The cherry on top of this experience was also getting sick from the food 3/5 days onboard. After returning from our trip, we reached out to MSC Multiple times regarding getting sick on board from the food and it's a month later with no help or solution from the company.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

Port is still being built up. You have to take a taxi to a beach and the beach from what we heard was filthy. The season brought in a lot of seaweed, so there was not much to do in the time alotted.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve

Only positive part of our trip. Island is still under construction but it was the first time all 5 days we actually got to have room and just enjoy the views.
