I chose this cruise because it’s Far East itinerary (save for Sihanoukville which is terrible) was excellent. We didn’t have a Far East cruise just Singapore-Thailand-Singapore due to port closures because of coronavirus. NCL should have offered cancellation and a full refund at embarkation. It didn’t and we were kept on a ship where passengers and staff were thrown off and fear and uncertainty grew. Captain and other senior crew invisible. Over 1,000 passengers signed a Petition demanding a refund. No response as yet.
The food was good and stateroom clean. Entertainment was poor- the Cruise Director was particularly poor and throughout we were encouraged to spend spend spend as the ship sailed at a loss. The loss of a significant number of crew affected those who remained. There were some stand out individuals but in the main the whole feel was tainted by events beyond their and our control.
I have sailed on other NCL ships and had a good experience. Unless NCL own up to their failings and do the decent thing - a full refund I shall never sail with them again. Profit before welfare
