Great itinerary but not great pre cruise drink packages no bottled water packages so brought a case on ourselves . Ship was rusty on our mini suite deck and other spare as. Staff were mostly friendly but some could use nicer hellos. Shop had almost nothing with lord of the rings items which was disappointing and quality was limited. Disappointed captain didn’t do the champagne waterfall like other ships have done. Vow renewal was very very nice . Disappointed with quality and type of food, we don’t eat red meat pork or lamb and limited fish and seafood or chicken to same favorite menu item .. buffet many nights offered better selection and quality. Disappointed no local kiwi fruit or fresh fruit from nz no honey etc.. but did love love love the scones with cream and jam every afternoon!, photographers were very good but sadly photo packages were very expensive and many people didn’t buy as many as they wanted . Loved the ports though Napier could be longer . Auckland was somewhat boring . Wildlife tours and seeing lord of the rings places and hobbiton made the trip great. Many great on board photo opportunities which we liked . No happy hour which was disappointing but made it much cheaper for us as we didn’t drink much due to that. Would do this cruise again.. not sure with who as itinerary is paramount but had a great time .
Rust on the balcony all over so watched where we put our feet. Lots of rust in and outside the ship which was unusual to see with Princess. Cabin was spacious and our room steward Jeff was amazing and made our stay memorable .
Napier gannet tour was one of the best Thru princess and rover rings in Wellington was fantastic!, definite a full day must do! Also Zealander tours in tauranga did hobbiton and rotorua .. great full day with Rolf. Disappointed with the America’s cup tour in Auckland . But the rest was wonderful.
Have family in Sydney but it is a magical city to get around and take a ferry to manly or a train. To anywhere . Easy from the airport to port .
Saw wild nz fur seals and sea lions very close in the wild saw penguins blue and yellow eyed and had a wonderful full day
View All undefined undefined ReviewsWas very crowded for the size of the boat but did see six hector dolphins which was wonderful. Very cold when we were there so had to wear heavy jacket. Too cold to swim
View All undefined undefined ReviewsSam was our guide and they were so organized and wonderful giving background film shots and we visited eso many locations and saw the weta workshop and production . Would do again
View All undefined undefined ReviewsThe whole day was magical seeing these birds and babies up close . We had plenty of time to enjoy them which was very nice . At the end they surprised us with an amazing food and tea spread which was so greatly appreciated
View All 10 Cape Kidnappers ReviewsRolf was our guide for full day and saw the hobbiton area . They rush you thru sadly but it was worth it. Also included going to rotorua and we saw the geysers full blow and the mud pools. Was a great tour and they had a food bag for us sinc it was a short day with lots to do. Very nice touch
View All undefined undefined ReviewsIt was a great day but too many people and we didn’t really go anywhere but circle half the Harbour. Not worth the money
View All undefined undefined ReviewsThey are small but we liked that it was family operated for generations. We also took the bay of islands cruise and the hole in the rock which gave us views of many small islands . We couldn’t go thru the hole as too rough but it was fun. Saw a pod of wild common dolphins feeding as com8ng back so stopped and watched them which was great
