I have taken this cruise before, both as a 3 night and a 4 night. The 4 night fare is usually cheaper since it runs mid-week while the 3 night runs over the weekend. It tends to attract groups of bachelor and bachelorette parties, which liven the trip up and provide excellent people watching opportunities. Not for the Cunard crowd, thankfully.

Unfortunately we didn't have great weather - cool, windy, some rain, which killed most pool deck activity, other than the overcrowded hot tubs. The cruise director Benjamin was very energetic and helped make the best of the trip. The gym is small and was not crowded.

Good to see that Ensenada is still the same dump it was five years ago when I went on this itinerary. Friendly merchants on the streets trying to suck you in to buy their cheap junk, or visit any of the upstanding massage parlors, where one guy invited me in for a "rub and *** from one of his pretty cousins".

Porthole

Big enough, clean, a couple of outlets. Good room steward (Yanti). It got very noisy and vibrating coming into Long Beach on Sunday morning, couldn't sleep much past 5am.

Portholes provided good natural light.
