We chose this cruise for it's itinerary. The days at sea combined with Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire was very appealing. We had not been on Royal Caribbean in quite a few years and wanted to give it another try.
We were satisfied with the cruise but nothing was so good that we would plan on returning to Royal Caribbean. The ship felt so small. The public spaces were always crowded and we had difficulty finding a place to sit for a drink after dinner. And the music was too loud for such small venues. Especially in the Dog and Duck Pub. We tried it for a drink one evening and the volume of the music drove us out. We did enjoy the music trivia in the Schooner Bar, but again the venue was so small for the crowd that showed up.
Service was good in the dining room, but the food was just average. Prices for the specialty restaurants were too high to give them a try.
Our cabin was comfortable and in a good location for us. Close to elevators but not close enough to be disturbed by them. Our cabin steward, Mark, was very good and attentive.
We just walked the downtown area, did a little shopping and had some cool drinks at Karel's Beach Bar. Got back on the ship early to get some time on the pool deck without too many people.
We love Aruba and have been there many times. So we visited some of our favorite downtown places,, The Aruba Experience and the West Deck.
