Hubby and I chose to sail Celebrity Silhouette to celebrate Valentines Day. We had sailed her in Europe 2017 and had a wonderful time. Our sailing was the first after drydock. The public areas and cabins have been enhanced. The ship smelled new. The cabins have new beds, bedding, new bathrobes and fluffy new towels. The neutral color schemes are nice and have a calming effect. The crew are personable and friendly. The food in the main dining room is very good. We ate in the speciality dining rooms (Murano, Tuscan Grill, Lawn Club and Porch), the food was well presented, plentiful and delicious. It was an awesome voyage. The crew are amazing, very welcoming. Shore excursions are varied and reasonably price. Our itinerary included Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire and Grand Cayman. In Aruba, we took a taxi ($15) from the port to Eagle Beach. At Divi’s Aruba you can rent a beach umbrella and two lounges for $10 very reasonable. We walked backed to the ship for much needed exercise.
Nice size, obstructed view looking down, you get a nice panoramic view. Clean, good attention to details, great bed and linen, thick fluffy cotton towels, 24 hangers in closet (yes, I counted them).
Took a cab at the port for $15 went to Eagle
Brought a day pass at Divi’s Flamingo $20 pp, it is literally adjacent to where the ship docks, approximately 5-8 minute walk to the reception area to purchase the pass. The pass includes usage of the facility and a beach lounger. You are able to snorkel from the pier or sun bathe to your delight. You must bring your own towel. Food is available for purchase, but why bother, the food is great on the ship.
