Got a great discount for my casino play and we were offered Club Orange at half price on our 10 day Southern Carib. cruise. So we were very satisfied overall. Koningsdam is a beautiful ship - maybe the nicest of our 42 cruises on almost every cruise line. The food was as good as you expect on Holland. The staff always delightful and cheery. New York Deli whipped up some interesting breakfast dishes.

We had all of our dinners and most of our breakfasts in Club Orange. We paid the half price of $500 for the both of us for 10 nights and it was worth it but I wouldn't pay twice that. The staff in Club Orange was tremendous and attentive! Obviously among their best servers worked this small private restaurant.

Cons: The shows were one night comedian and one night magic show. Just ok. and THREE nights with the same "modern dance" troupe. Ugghh. The average passenger would be bored senseless during the first show. And there were only a few nights with some live instrumental music before 6:30 pm - and even that was a 5:30 start. We remember HAL offering some great string quartets, etc after 4 pm to enjoy with your drinks. Read more
