Cabin: Aft-View Extended Balcony

We chose this cruise because it fit into our schedule and we are repeat Carnival cruisers. Check-in and boarding the ship was fast and easy. Carnival must be trying to cut costs. I noticed more rusty paint and dirtier windows. The food on this cruise in the main dining room was not up to what we expected. We had a waiter in the main dining room for breakfast who seemed not to like his job. Prior cruises we would have lobster, escargot, etc. as selections on the regular menu. This time the lobster was only available for an additional charge of $20. A bottle of wine I can normally purchase for $12-$15 cost me over $50.

The prepaid shore excursion had to be modified because of the weather. We were given a credit for the portion that had to be eliminated, and we had a great time.

We enjoyed the comedy show. There was no Captain's party or recognition as prior cruisers, besides a couple of bottles of water.

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

We liked the cabin. Plenty of storage. This is our first time for an aft balcony. We usually get a balcony cabin on the side. We enjoyed the larger balcony. However, the see-through glass was totally crusted over with dirt and salt blocking any view through it. Fairly easy access to the elevators and access to the lido deck pool and buffet.
