This was to be a get away to make up for a trip that ended because of a family tradgedy. The ship was fine, but the extra amenities were lacking. We tried the special dining at the steak house and the porterhouse was chewy and the filet mignon that replaced it was not much better. The wine package was not adequately explained and could only be used in a specific dining venue. There were only a few wines that met the criteria for inclusion and others were surcharged although there was no refund if the cost was below the ceiling price.
The entertainment was professional and well done, although I was a tad surprised, when a Motown show had no black singers or dancers. None of the shows had any black entertainers.
The spa offered a thermal package, but the only difference between it and the regular free salon activities were plastic sandals, and a robe. Although there was a pool, it was not private with the exception that no children were admitted. The general ship population was able to use it at any time.
The cabin itself was fine, but the people walking by on the Promenade was a distraction and created a lack of privacy. Fortunately there were many days that the Promenade was closed due to weather conditions, but alas that made the balcony less usable.
A waterfall after seeing Niagra is not that unusual.
Expensive and rather ordinary
The guide and experience was plesant and half the price of the sponsored tour.
