We picked the Celebrity Equinox Eastern Caribbean Cruise of Feb. 29 - Mar.7th because of the itenerary plus us having had very good experiences on Celebrity ships before. We really like the ship as it was easy to get around on plus it was very well maintained by the crew. We found all of the crew very friendly and especially liked our stateroom attendant and our dining room waiter and his assistant. Our stops were to be San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Samona, Dominican Republic, and Nassau, the Bahamas. We've been to San Juan before so we just got off the ship and walked around Old San Juan - it is a nice and interesting place with lots of shops and places to eat. Our stop in St. Thomas we took an excursion to Sapphire Beach and it was worth the trip. Our next stop to Samona, Dominican Republic was a disappointment as our ship wasn't allowed to dock - really no explanation other than Samona wanted more port fees to be paid. In Nassau we took an excursion to Pearl Island, beach and lunch break. It was a very nice small island with a white sand beach and was fun. I have to say with the coronavirus scare that this ship and it's crew made every effort to make us feel safe and they were squirting hand sanitizer on you every time you turned around. We enjoyed the shows in the theaters each night. We only ate in the main dining room each night and found the food very good. I have to say when reading other reviews where people may not have either liked the food or thought the portions were too small - they really don't know what they are talking about. For one thing you can order as much as you like and if you don't like something - you can send it back and get something else. The only negative I would say is what we say on every cruise we've been on and that is there are always pool chair hogs on every cruise you go on and I don't know how this can ever be remedied. Finally I would recommend Celebrity cruise line to everyone.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 1C

Very good cabin with the only complaint being they need softer pillows.
